New Self Priming Pumps from Cornell
Cornell Pump introduces two new pump options to the
self-priming series. The STL and STH pumps expand the range of application
options for self-primers with innovative design.
The 8STL pump is designed to run at 1800 RPM so that it can
be directly connected to an SAE engine without the need for any adaptation. The
higher RPM operation makes the 8STL pump better suited to portable pumping
applications and rental pumps.
The 3STH pump is designed for high pressure/high head
applications. The 3STH pump is capable of reaching heads as high as 250 ft. The
pump features heavy-duty bearings, shaft and impeller for a longer pump life.
Additional sizes of the STH pump, including a 4STH and 6STH are currently being
completed. All variations offer greater performance and higher speeds (up to
2200 RPM) than other similar pumps on the market.
Both the STL and STH pumps are manufactured with high
performance materials, including ductile iron wet end parts, shafts made from
17-4 Stainless Steel, and Cornell’s exclusive Cycloseal® system for longer seal
life and grit removal.

Hot Summer Days, Cool Treats
On a hot August day, all manufacturing staff received an ice cream treat to help them cool off. Evoking memories of childhood, racing bicycles, and tightly clasped money, the ice cream truck paid a visit to Cornell to liven up the day of the hard working manufacturing staff. All ice cream was paid for by operations, and staff could pick their favorite from an assortment of bars, cones, cups, and popsicles.
