Regional Pump School in Hartford, CT A Huge Sucess

In conjunction with Blake Equipment, Cornell Pump held a Regional Pump School in Hartford, Connecticut on December 3rd, 2014. More than 60 municipal water and waste water operators took part in the class. Pump curves, system design, and proper installation were presented. And the class participants got to see Ted Wiese, Quality Manager and Ryan Bothell, Assembler disassemble a pump. The class loved being able to ask Ted and Ryan technical questions about the construction.

Thank you again to MDC for the space to host the event in Hartford, and to Blake Equipment for their efforts in making the school a huge success.

We’ll have several regional pump schools in 2015; we’ll post opportunities on our blog at blog.cornellpump.com. Our annual Cornell Pump School, held over two days in September at the Cornell Factory, has trained more than 12,000 participants since 1946. visit the Cornell website for more information about Pump School.

New Insertion Flow Meter Unveiled at Irrigation Association(IA) Show

Cornell Pump was pleased to have Flow Technologies, Incorporated(FTI) in our booth at the IA Show.  FTI presented an exciting new insertion meter they are prototyping.

Inserted into the suction or discharge, the compact meter is design to mount directly into a wide range of Cornell pumps.   Providing information on flow rate, the meter works in temperatures from -40o to 125o Celsius (-40o to 257 o Fahrenheit.)

The meter connects with a variety of FTI’s existing transmitters, so data is able to be sent from remote locations and centrally monitored.  For more information about FTI, visit their website at: www.ftimeters.com
