THE DENVER, CO. DISTRIBUTOR MEETING ROUND-UP

Cornell Pump Company held a distributor meeting in Denver, Colorado from June 12 to 14, 2012. More than 85 distributors from seven different countries learned about Cornell’s exciting new product designs, sales supports for current Cornell products, and innovative new marketing and promotion initiatives.

Distributors also enjoyed hospitality at an opening reception, a specular golf outing to Arrowhead Golf Course, and a tour of the world famous Coors Brewery. The networking, questions, and camaraderie strengthened relationships between distributors and Cornell staff.

Cornell featured its Cutter Pump—now installed in more than 60 applications across the country. The revolutionary stationary and rotating impeller design was presented to distributors—along with enhanced marketing brochures and product curves. Jim Denton, a Southern California distributor with numerous cutter pumps in the field, described the product as, “Exciting in what it offers—peace of mind. The pump saves a great deal of maintenance time do to its innovative design; in many cases tens of thousands of dollars per year.”

ome products are so new that distributors received a ‘sneak peek’ before they are unveiled at trade shows this fall. These new and improved designs had the room buzzing with anticipation, though. “It was great to gather feedback on the new and existing Cornell products,” said Robert Ray, Cornell Pump Company President. “We appreciate distributors taking time from busy schedules to learn and network. We feel it’s important in continuing our relationship with distributors to meet face-to-face. Ultimately, it helps Cornell and the distributor better meet customer needs.”

New Cornell products displayed at the meeting will debut at the MinExpo and WEFTEC shows in Fall 2012.
