New STH and STL Self-Priming Pumps
We will also be debuting our STH and STL self-priming pumps. These offerings, along with our high-efficiency STX Self-Priming pumps round our our wet priming line. The STL and STH pumps expand the range of application options for self-primers with innovative design. The 8STL pump is designed to run at 1800 RPM so that it can be directly connected to an SAE engine without the need for any adaptation. The STH series is designed for high pressure/high head applications, with heads up to 250 ft. Data sheets on the 8STH and 3STH are available on cornellpump.com.

Update your Pump-Flo

Cornell Pump uses the Pump-Flo program to assist with pump selection. The program uses a catalog of pump data to provide options based on information provided. To make sure that Pump-Flo is providing the most up-to-date and accurate information, it is important to update the program regularly.

The Cornell website is the best place to start.

Here you can make a choice to:
  • Install the desktop program software (if you don’t have the program)
  • Update your catalog data to the latest additions
Listed on this page are all the most recent changes to the data, such as, curve additions and revisions.
Look at the date next to ‘Install Catalog Update’. Once you install the updated catalog, this will be the date next to the 50Hz and 60Hz selections when you run the program:

New Self Priming Pumps from Cornell

Cornell Pump introduces two new pump options to the self-priming series. The STL and STH pumps expand the range of application options for self-primers with innovative design.
The 8STL pump is designed to run at 1800 RPM so that it can be directly connected to an SAE engine without the need for any adaptation. The higher RPM operation makes the 8STL pump better suited to portable pumping applications and rental pumps.
The 3STH pump is designed for high pressure/high head applications. The 3STH pump is capable of reaching heads as high as 250 ft. The pump features heavy-duty bearings, shaft and impeller for a longer pump life. Additional sizes of the STH pump, including a 4STH and 6STH are currently being completed. All variations offer greater performance and higher speeds (up to 2200 RPM) than other similar pumps on the market.

Both the STL and STH pumps are manufactured with high performance materials, including ductile iron wet end parts, shafts made from 17-4 Stainless Steel, and Cornell’s exclusive Cycloseal® system for longer seal life and grit removal.
Datasheets for both the 3STH and the 8STL are available from the Cornell Pump website.

Stainless Steel Pumps for Food Processing

When it comes to food pumps, AISI 304 Stainless steel is the material of choice. It offers corrosion resistance and greater tensile strength than cast iron at a cost considerably lower than 316 stainless steel.

Cornell Pump offers twelve models of hydro-transport pumps in 304 stainless steel, with the three most common models in-stock for quick delivery. All of Cornell's hydro-transport pumps come standard with the innovative Cycloseal®, and offset volutes to prevent product damage.

Cornell Factory Will Be Closed September 1st for Labor Day

Cornell Pump will be closed this coming Monday for the observance of Labor Day. On this day celebrating labor, we've chosen a few of our favorite historic photos of the Cornell Factory to share with you.
While the technology we use has changed vastly over the years, one thing has not: the dedication our employees have to building the highest quality pumps, right here in America.

Hot Summer Days, Cool Treats

On a hot August day, all manufacturing staff received an ice cream treat to help them cool off. Evoking memories of childhood, racing bicycles, and tightly clasped money, the ice cream truck paid a visit to Cornell to liven up the day of the hard working manufacturing staff. All ice cream was paid for by operations, and staff could pick their favorite from an assortment of bars, cones, cups, and popsicles.
